The links are divided up between EU and Non-EU as there are significant differences between the process depending on your country of origin.

Authorisation - EU
EU/EØS member states have entered into an agreement that makes the application for medical authorisation more streamlined. As such, simply follow the guidelines stated in the link below and choose EU Member. Region Zealand covers the cost of application if you are part of our recruitment program.

Unlike applicants from inside the EU, the process for applying for your medical authorisation when coming from outside the EU can be much more involved. This is mainly due to requirements regarding language and evaluations. For more information, follow the link below and choose Non-EU Countries.
Authorisation - Medical Doctor - Non-EU - Danish Patient Safety Authority - stps.dkResidence and Work Permit - EU
If you are a citizen of an EU/EØS state or Nordic Country, you automatically have residence/ work permit for 3 months, without having to register. After this period, you need to register using an EU Residence Document. For more info, follow the link below.
EU Resident - nyidanmark.dkResidence and Work Permit - Non-EU
If you are coming from outside the EU/EØS, and want your authorisation as a medical professional, you have the option to apply for residence/work permit for a limited time to allow you to achieve this, this can be found under "work". Information regarding family members can also be found below
