Zealand University Hospital, Roskilde, is one of four specialized hospitals in Region Zealand, Denmark. Roskilde Hospital has a 24-hour emergency department staffed by nurses. Doctors are available from 12 PM to 10 PM daily. The hospital also has a specialized unit for Interdisciplinary Diagnosis and Treatment, where patients undergo all necessary examinations on the same day.

Research is a high priority at Sjaelland University Hospital, Roskilde, and is conducted in collaboration with other research institutions both in Denmark and internationally.
