PARTNER PROGRAM

We know that everyone has to be happy in a move, that is why we want to ensure that everyone finds what they are looking for in Denmark.
Why Work in Denmark?

The importance of a happy home is not to be underestimated.

That might sound a bit dramatic, but it is actually one of the most important aspects of moving to a new country.

Through our experience recruiting international doctors, we have come to understand that in order to secure a long-term successful integration of a new hire, alongside a partner or family, everyone has to feel comfortable in their new life.

For that reason, we do what we can to ensure that both partners and children find themselves in the right circumstances, with the opportunities to find what they are looking for in Denmark.

So, what does that entail?

We are sadly not experts in the entire Danish workforce, and while we do have some ability to guide partners, we have found it to be better done by experts in the field.

We therefore partner up with excellent external experts that specifically help prepare and guide the partners of our candidates into the Danish job market. These programs last around four months as standard, but can be extended, and usually entail tailored solutions for the individual person.

We currently utilise two partners in this way and you can look at their websites using the following links:

And

How hard is it to find a job for my partner?

As you can possibly guess, the answer is… it depends. Which is not a very reassuring answer, but it is a truthful one. There are plenty of opportunities in Denmark for partners, but some jobs travel better than others, and some require more language.

We have seen multiple examples of partners working remotely for a bit, if possible, until they feel comfortable moving into the Danish market. But the most important thing is a willingness to integrate and “get out there”, as the Danish market often responds better to an active approach in the job search.

What can we do ourselves?

Be realistic in your expectations, especially regarding timeframe. If you expect your partner to immediately get a new job, without having one lined up beforehand, you may need to temper your expectations a little bit. It may take some time, sometimes up to a year or more, especially if language is involved.

The absolute best thing you can do is to be proactive. Do research, contact potential employers, and get a feel for what is possible and what requirements you might have to meet, in order to work within your specific field.

The more you know before you get here, the better we can assist you and help get you into your new career in Denmark.

And the truth is, we probably need your skills.
